Lost Smile

I lost my smile!

It frightened me so!

Just disappeared!

Where did it go?

 

Is it gone forever?

Will it return?

Did someone steal it?

It's a real concern!

 

Looked under the table,

chair and dog dish to.

Where is that thing?

Wanted to give it to you!

 

I looked in the mirror,

laughter was gone!

No joy or giggles!

Something's terribly wrong!

 

Then I closed my eye tight,

squeezed the lids almost through,

and my smile returned,

as I pictured--you!!
