I am a simple man with a simple Faith

I have a question for you. If God  created His man for interaction with Him, I believe we call that a relationship, and never created a religion,: and if after Jesus came, lived, preached, died and rose again: and His followers preached repentance and obedience, and turned the known world “upside down”, who added all the junk? The various denominations and cults have given us rules, regulations and traditions that take away the power of God and leave us trying to do what no one can, earn our salvation!
Jesus said:  Matthew 15:6——— Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

My new book, with this title, will have a simple formula at the beginning of what it takes to be a Child of God. Then if the reader wants to learn how I came to this conclusion, he/she can read on.

So here is the simplicity of Christianity. It is stated in Scripture several times with different words, but the formula never changes.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But what does that mean? John could not understand it until after the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus and the infilling of believers with the Holy Spirit. Let’s see what the Spirit said through these men.

Paul was asked: “What must I do to be saved?”

Paul’s answer: “Believe on the Lord Jesus, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house!”

So simply: We are to believe that Jesus Christ was, is, and always will be the Messiah sent from God to pay the price for you and me to have a family relationship with Almighty God. It is His name that gives us access into the very Throne room of God, and that gives us the adoption papers that prove we are sons and daughters of the Living God.

What can we do to earn this privilege? Nothing! However we must accept this gift offered by God by accepting it: Salvation is the gift and to accept it we must submit to Jesus Christ. Period!
